To Honour & Pay Homage To The Memory Of Jo Bright
Hi there,
Firstly and foremost, we would all like to send our condolences and unconditional love to the Bright family for they have truly endured the harshest of times in the past few years suffering multiple bereavements, with most recently being our beloved Jo.
Jo really was one of the brightest stars that truly shone through in a world full of sorrow. After having such an unsettled childhood and then being adopted with her twin sister Rachel at such an early age, Jo had further troubles in her love life leaving her heartbroken, but rose above the anguish and flourished in to motherhood with the birth of her beautiful daughter Holly, who then in turn made Jo a proud Nanna some years later with the birth of her own daughters Bella & Autumn, Jo called them her ‘Tiddlers’.
Aside from family life, Jo held many different roles within the lives of those around her, to quote one of Jo’s oldest friends, she was “one of clublands Hard House icons, a true and great ambassador to Club 414, a mother figure to many, a loving carer, nurse, confidence keeper, guider, adviser, agent, promoter, designer, decorator, door manager, security backup… The list goes on…”
She dominated an irreplaceable role within the music industry for over 30 years, delegation was her calling!! Helping organise various dance music events across the country, managing artists to help them reach their full potential, and was seen as a mother figure to so many lost individuals along the way giving concise and to the point advice, as well as not being afraid to rein in those of us that were naughty and misbehaving by clipping many an earhole, which earned herself the infamous title Mumma Jo. She genuinely was amazing in oh so many ways, but yet, this only paints a fraction of the Jo-sized black hole that has been left in this universe.
We have created this fundraiser, to help combat this most tragic loss of life that not only the family has endured, but we as an entire community of peers / friends / pupils & colleagues alike have felt rocked to our core by .
The money raised is to help fund funeral costs and give Jo the best sendoff that we possibly can, and help ease the pressure on her family feeling this tremendous burden, those close to Jo know how she had intended on arranging some form of afterlife insurance for her daughter Holly so that she may not know the struggles that Jo & Rachel endured when their parents passed not so long ago. However Jo was sadly taken from us before having the opportunity to finalise these arrangements. Any additional funds beyond the target that are raised we would like to give to Jo’s daughter Holly, to further help fund the life and education of Jo’s cherished tiddlers!! The funeral is going to be held on Wednesday 25th August at Garston Crematorium WD25 0JS, in the North Chapel @ 4PM, so let’s see how much we can raise in as quick a time as possible for Jo’s loved ones... #MummaJosArmy!!!
“Live the life you Love, Love the life you Live” was a Sunnyside Up motto, but she truly adhered to this in all aspects of her time on this earth, and installed its ethos in to so many of us. So please join us, in celebrating the memory of the LEGEND that was… The One… The Only… Mumma Jo!
Rest in peace our angel! We expect to see you front and centre at those pearly gates, with your clipboard and wristbands, and all of our names on that guestlist!! We love you, always and forever!! Gone but never EVER forgotten!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
