I've created this campaign to support on behalf of Kelly Lazzara's family as they go through this incredibly difficult time.
The campaign will go towards the costs associated with her funeral, Celebration of Life and family support. Kelly Lazzara is survived by her daughter, mother, sister and nephews.
Kelly Lazzara brought much happiness, love and kindness to everyone she met. A fierce protector of her family and friends who loved her free spirit to speak her truths in the face of injustices. She was an active member of the Toronto Indigenous Community who loved to write, draw, sing and dance.
As a 60's Scoop survivor, Kelly rose to face life on life's terms with beautiful grace. A sacred fire took place at Allen Gardens last week with an outpour of Community Support in various ways. Many of Kelly's friends and community members expressed condolences to the family. 2-Spirits of the First Nation, Native Canadian Centre of Toronto, Council Fire, Toronto Indigenous Harm Reduction and Anishnawbe Health provided support which the family and community truly appreciated.
The funds raised here are to ease the financials of funeral expenses, costs of Celebration of Life and family support.
