Tina's Breast Cancer Fight

Last week my sister, Tina Brown, received some very heavy news.  After undergoing testing the doctor confirmed that she had "Invasive Carsinoma Breast Cancer".  This news came as a shock. No female in our families history (that we are aware of), both maternal, or paternal, have ever been diagnosed with breast cancer.

After meeting with a specialist, Tina was informed that her best choice would be removing both breasts. As you can imagine this news hit hard. But she understands, statistically, this is the best decision for her life.  The decision is not easy, but she will move forward with this decision. 

Tina will be out of work for at least 4 weeks. Just like many of us, who depend on their weekly paycheck, Tina is no different.  As with any medical issues, there are expenses that come along with the territory.  We've set this medical go-fund-me amount in hopes that it will cover her out work cost, co-pays, and also be enough for me (her sister) to fly (or drive in) and stay with her to get her back on her feet after the surgery.
