Dear friends and family of Tim Coogan.
My name is Shannon, cousin of Tim Coogan, who is the son of Pat and Patty Coogan. As most of you know Tim has been in the hospital fighting a serious infection since August 19. This is an extension of a 7+-year battle Tim has been waging, and the good news is, after an epic fight – and with a war-chest of prayers from all of us - Tim has so far prevailed. While the infection is in retreat, there is work to be done to keep it at bay, and on some other serious health issues. Tim’s respiratory system has been compromised, requiring remedial procedures to assist with and stabilize his breathing. As well, he is experiencing digestive distress and nerve pain, the likes of which may require more than one spinal surgery to resolve. The goal is to get Tim stable enough to start rehab, and ideally to the University of Washington, the best place to address all issues, AND get Tim well by Apple Cup (priorities!)!
Suffice to say that a month in intensive care, and what lies ahead for Tim, is not cheap, so HERE'S WHERE WE COME IN: please make a donation to help cover Tim’s health care costs. Our goal is to raise at least $75,000, with which to ease the financial burden of medical expenses.
