As many of you know, in July, 2017, our good friend Tim Wilson suffered a massive stroke.   After several surgeries he was admitted to a Neurological rehab facility in Austin.   In May 2018, Tim and Cathy were informed by their medical insurance company that benefits would be ceased due to lack of medical progress.  Accordingly, Tim became classified as a private pay patient whereby Cathy  must pay the entire monthly fees approximating $7,000.  Cathy retained a senior care legal expert to assist in navigating these changes which should be complete in September.   

Tim recently had a new shunt inserted in his head to drain off excess fluid.  (the old shunt had malfunctioned without anyone's knowledge).
Almost miraculously, Tim improved markedly.  Although still suffering the ravages of the stroke, his speech is clearer, he recognizes many people, and he has a sense of humor.  So, family and friends are hopeful that therapy will result in further progress.

Several close friends have already pitched in to help financially with the legal fees and monthly private pay cost.   Many, many more have asked how they can help which is why this go fund me campaign has been set up by friends.  Any amount of assistance would be greatly appreciated and is very much needed.  Cathy and Tim would be the last to ask for financial assistance but  would be the first to provide help.

Tim was unable to attend Zach's wedding last Fall, nor could he attend his Mother's funeral this summer.
