Thomas J. Uliasz Memorial Award in Carpentry
Don protégé
The family of Thomas J. Uliasz is establishing an academic award in remembrance of his life. Tom was a graduate of Bullard-Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut. For decades, he worked as a carpenter for Bridgeport Public Schools. Tom was a creative and detailed craftsman who used his skilled hands to build a great life for his family. Tom was known as a very generous and loving person, to his friends and family. His great sense of humor always made people around him smile. He truly had such a positive impact on those around him.
The Thomas J. Uliasz Award in Carpentry will recognize a graduating Bullard-Havens senior who is pursuing a career in carpentry. The chosen graduate should demonstrate a strong work ethic, creativity, and above all, compassion for those around them. The award recipient will be presented with a check for $300 at the Bullards-Haven graduation ceremony starting in June 2024. Donations collected will go towards funding this perpetual award. By raising $2500, we will be able to fund the award for the next 8 years. Any funds raised beyond that amount will go towards additional years. We thank you for supporting Tom’s legacy.
