The Pink Project
Donation protected
Hello! my name is Rebecca Ji and I've decided to dedicated this gofundme to supply homeless women with the most basic need: feminine products.
Every day, homeless women are forced to use items such as socks, ripped up t-shirts, or toilet paper to replace sanitary pads and tampons, because they cannot afford the high cost of these items. Not only do these women feel uncomfortable, and ashamed to make this decision, but they are at high risk of getting different kinds of infection such as toxic shock syndrome.
Because I could not find any organizations/programs based in the Bay Area that addresses this widespread issue, I decided to take this matter into my own hands.
My plan is to utilize the donations to purchase sanitary napkins and tampons, and distribute these items to homeless women living in Oakland.
Only a small amount of $5 is needed to provide a woman with feminine products for a week, so every penny counts! If you are unable to donate, please share this link with at least one person you know!
No woman should ever have to choose between buying feminine products or buying a meal.
Thank you to those who took the time to read this, and I hope you will choose to support my passion of helping others by donating to The Pink Project!
