Don protégé
Thea was born in July 2018 with Down Syndrome and heart anomalies that required heart surgery when she was only 6 months old. Brave Thea was smiling the day after her open heart surgery.
She now has another battle to fight against Myelodysplastic Syndrome & Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She is currently being treated as an inpatient at St. Vincent's Children's Hospital in Green Bay. On January 22nd, Thea began an aggressive 6 round regimen of Chemotherapy. Each of these 6 rounds last about 28 days.
Thea is the daughter of Tera Schroeder & Clay Tomashek. She has a 4 year old brother named Camden who happens to be her favorite person. Unfortunately due to the Flu Ban at St. Vincent's Camden isn't able to visit his sister. He adjusting well to his new school in Green Bay and currently residing with his grandparents, Tom & Patti, so everyone can be closer to Thea.
Thea is a bright ray of sunshine! She is smiley on her hardest days and doesn't let anything that life throws at her bring her down. She is Strong, Brave, Hilarious, Resilient and Playful.
Thea's family is extremely grateful for all the generosity and love that surrounds them during this extremely difficult time. Clay works for H.J. Martin & Son as a Tile Installer. Tera is a Radiology Technologist at Prevea Health. Clay & Tera both have already had to take a large amount of time off of work. Their FMLA's will be eventually exhausted. Both parents will need to continue to take much more time off in the next 6 months as Thea continues her costly treatments. Any donations will be extremely appreciated and put towards Thea's medical bills and helping the family stay afloat during this challenging time.
