The Wondermutt needs surgery

Toby the Three Legged Wondermutt has two lumps that need removing. Last spring he had surgery to remove a mast cell tumor on his hind leg, and it looks like we have a some new ones to get rid of. The larger of the two is on his chest and the other is just under his jaw. The one under his jaw is a particular concern due to the location.

Our vet also wants him to see another vet who specializes in anxiety issues in dogs to see if we can help ease some of his anxiety, particularly around us leaving the house, using the shower, and the beeping noises made by the a/c, microwave, dishwasher, and thermometer. He reacted poorly to a medication we tried last summer so we want to see a specialist before we try medication again.

We love our stinky hot mess so much, and we want to keep him in the best shape we can as he enters his senior years.

The reality simply is that we cannot afford this surgery. The estimate is between $650 and $1130, mostly depending on that more complicated location on his neck.

Any amount will help so much towards this surgery bill and the specialist appointment, which is coming at a really crappy time frankly.
