The Stella Joy Quilt Project
On June 24th 2011, Aimee and
Mishi thought their 2.5-year-old daughter Stella had an ear infection. 24 hours
later, they got the devastating news it was a fatal brain tumour. Stella was
given 3 months to live.
Today, Stella is
palliative and has perhaps 3-6 weeks to live. She is at home surrounded by the
love of her two moms and brother to be, as Aimee is nine months pregnant with
their second child. Since the diagnosis, both Aimee and Mishi have
stopped working to spend the most amount of quality time with Stella while
she's here.
Thus,
aside from being an unbelievable tragedy, there is also a big issue to
financial hardship over the next year. This is where you can help with a
contribution to the Stella Joy Quilt Project.
For every contribution, your
financial generosity will be used to cover the families living expenses while
they grieve for Stella and care for their newborn. Your kindness and emotional
generosity will be used to create a quilt that forever covers the family
with Stella's Joy.
So please give what you can and
include a short message to be added to the quilt.
Thank you.
