The Serving Slice Inc.

Our Mission Statement: Difficult times require bold actions. The Serving Slice Initiative aspires to collaborate with essential food services across communities in order to provide for those most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We accept donations from local restaurants, cafes, and food chains and distribute them to groups in the most need such as senior centers, homeless shelters, and hospitals, free of transportation cost. With every meal packaged and slice of the pie cut, we seek to bring hope to the community in a time when we need it the most.

Our Impact: Per August 2020, we have been able to complete six deliveries of restaurant food, hygiene products, non-perishable foods, 3D printed personal protective equipment, and more to local homeless shelters, food pantries, and healthcare centers. We have been able to provide for the We Care Family Ministry homeless shelter, Cerritos Senior Neighborhood Food Pantry, Hawaiian Gardens Food Bank, and PIH Health Family Medicine. Our Future: We plan to merge with the Cerritos Chamber of Commerce 501(c)3 organization in the coming weeks, which will allow us to gain more support from local businesses around Cerritos and have a larger impact on communities in need. Furthermore, we are producing more 3D printed personal protective equipment to provide to healthcare centers in need as well as gathering more hygiene products to promote sanitation during the pandemic.
