This is Jack. He is a 15-year-old freshman at Mentor High School. He loves to golf, play baseball, sing in the men’s chorus, and collects sports cards. He and his parents belong to St. Gabriel parish where he was just confirmed. Jack loves to hang out with his friends, and his cat, Monty and play video games. He is fun, funny, smart, witty, and sweet. On April 12, 2022, he was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, Ewing Sarcoma. His Mom, Dawn has taken a leave of absence from her job so that she can stay at Jack’s side as he battles this insidious disease. Matt, works at Progressive and will be the sole income for their family. There is a long journey ahead……in-patient chemotherapy at Rainbow, Babies & Children’s Hospital for various treatments and surgery for at least the next 9 months. Medical bills and cost of living expenses are adding up already.
