The Saurer Family

Hello everyone.

As some of you may know, Andrew Saurer, Carrie Saurer, and their son, Tyler Saurer (My parents and older brother), were all involved in a severe car accident on September 16th, 2022. They were the three from the articles about a truck rollover on Highway 115. The three sustained severe, but non-life-threatening life injuries, which have now left them out of work.

Andrew, Tyler's father, was in the back seat behind Tyler, who was driving, and Andrew, unfortunately, got the worst of the injuries. He had to receive 22 staples in his skull and suffered from a severe concussion and a 6mm brain bleed.

Despite being a worker of the Toronto District School Board for almost 30 years, they are refusing to pay him for his absence caused by his severe; and still debilitating injuries. They say this is due to having no more time off when the time he took off was to take care of Carrie, who already uses a wheelchair and is immunocompromised and has been in and out of the hospital for the past 6+ months.

Andrew is the household's primary caregiver, and for his wife, he cannot afford to live off of no pay for the time being. Carrie is in the hospital and currently in the ICU for severe health complications, and Andrew cannot work for the foreseeable future. We are asking for any help at all, from donations to go towards bills, medical supplies for my mom, and daily living expenses for Andrew and his family. Any amount is appreciated. They are the kindest, most wonderful family who did not deserve this happening to them. It's been a horrible year for them, and they deserve all their help.
