The Rodney Blue Scholarship Fund

Rodney Blue was inducted into the GHS Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008, and he was recognized nationally as a master’s runner. He has been recognized numerous times throughout the years as a coach and earning Region 4 Division II NJCAA Coach of the year five times for Carl Sandburg College. A man with a big smile, a bigger heart, and a passion for running, Rodney has impacted the lives of so many in the Galesburg and surrounding areas during his 30 plus years of coaching.

This scholarship fund will keep his legacy alive and allow more students to attend college, have housing, and achieve their dreams. Rodney has helped hundreds of students from all across the world and that was one of his greatest accomplishments. Let’s continue to keep his legacy alive!

Coach Blue’s family will donate all funds raised to the Carl Sandburg College Foundation for the establishment of the Coach Rodney Blue Cross-Country Team Fund to support the needs of the Sandburg men's and women's cross-country teams!
