The mighty Zeus medical fund!

Hello Everyone, I'm Jessie, Zeus's mom. Zeus is our 1 year old pitty! He is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. He loves cuddles, watching TV, and our granddaughter ❤️

Unfortunately on October 5th, as my husband walked out the front door, Zeus ran out behind him. In true curious, still a bit of a puppy fashion. He made it only four house away before he was struck by a truck. Thankfully only his hind leg was run over by the tire and his body avoided impact.

The man who hit Zeus stopped, like he was going to speak with us and then proceeded to drive off. So, unfortunately we have no information.

After immediately taking Zeus to the emergency vet it was determined he needed several staples to repair the damage to the leg, as most of his skin is gone. As the night progressed and his leg swelled beyond what they expected we ended up back at the emergency vet the next morning. It was then determined that the ligament that attaches his paw to his leg had been ruptured, requiring extensive surgery.

Unfortunately, he will need to heal some prior to surgery and requires daily vet visits to monitor the progress of his healing.

After speaking with his Vet this morning it was told to us surgery will be around 3,000 to 4,000 dollars. At this point we are around 1,100 dollars invested in Zeus's recovery.

We love our boy beyond word's and only want the best for him. He is still just a baby and deserves to live a happy and fully functional life!
