URGENT - MCNALLY FAMILY IN TROUBLE

Spende geschützt
It's been a never ending battle it seems, our move to Florida.  What started out as being the best solution to ongoing health problems for Kat and Liam, and the inability to survive another winter in New York, has turned into a nightmare, two weeks after we moved into our dream home, Casa Verde.

It started with our closing costs being $8000 more than what we were told.  In order to fulfill closing, our entire 401k was taken.  A delay in that closing ate up what little we had to pay for temporary housing.  We moved in only to have hurricane Irma hit us - HARD.  Thousands of dollars in repairs, and then the threatened loss of home insurance without hurricane clips ($5000) and a new hot water tank ($1000).  We are still trying to pay that off.  Then our insurance went up, our property taxes went up, prescription costs went up.  It's been a slow and steady bleed.

It got worse with medical expenses for Kat.  Blindsided by a $2500 bill once, then yet another $800 bill for blood work.   We have been unable to keep up.  We have been surviving on what little credit we had left and the help of a few close friends that have donated food and prayer.    We have nothing left.  No way to feed our family, no way to pay bills, no immediate relief in sight.  We have been living on a diet of pasta and rice for approximately 6 months, with the exception of the generosity of our friends mentioned above.

The latest, and worst blow to our survival happened yesterday, January 25th.  Brian, in an attempt to stabilize our finances, had asked for a raise at the beginning of November, 2018.  It went unanswered until Thursday, January 24th, 2019 when an encouraging email came to him from his boss asking him to meet at 3:30 pm Friday the 25th.

We were expecting a conversation.  Instead, he was terminated.

Right now, we have approximately $250 to our name.  Period.  And that I just pulled from a home equity loan - it's all we had left.  After that is gone, and without a job or medical insurance, we will be in a situation we have never had to face before, possibly life threatening.

My biggest concern is our son, Liam, and my own personal health associated with a rare, incurable disease that is currently in remission.  Without any income, there is no way to provide Liam with his medication, doctor's visits and no way to guarantee that my health can be protected.

Brian, of course, is actively seeking employment.  However, at his age, this is not going to be an easy task.

Please help us.  I have no other way to say this that I am petrified of this situation.  I do not know how to fix any of this without the love and support of friends, family, anyone else that wants to help us keep our home, our health and not be forced to leave everything we've worked so hard for to bankruptcy.

I'm setting the amount at the bare minimum to get us at least until April.  We will need to set up COBRA medical insurance (which is an enormous amount) to keep both Liam and I covered with pre-existing conditions.

I'm so scared.  I really am.  There's just really nothing more to add here.
