The Maria Pollard Award in Nursing

Maria Pollard, was a dedicated Registered Nurse for over 40 years who filled the world with passion, care and joy.  She graduated in 1970 with her fellow nurses from the Belleville General Hospital - School of Nursing receiving the Pediatric Award.  In her honour and memory the family is collecting donations to establish an award in her name at Loyalist College in their Nursing Program which has succeeded the Belleville General Hospital Program.
