My name is Ethan Little, and I am the husband of our Samantha Little. I have had to do what needs to be done and reach out and ask for any support you may be able to offer. Most of you probably know, and some may not, but Sam has been through a lot in recent years and through this weekend. Facing the cancer diagnosis last October and going through chemotherapy and killing cancer has presented its own challenges and has been incredibly difficult both emotionally and financially. Then, just recently, Sam had emergency gallbladder removal surgery done on February 6th, adding further medical expenses, recovery time, and missing work.
This last weekend, as I write this on March 8th at 6:00 pm, Samantha was hit by a drunk driver. She was t-boned on Highway 2 by a truck that flipped our van over with Sam and our boys, as well as her little sister Jillian and her two friends, Paige and Maddy, and our dog Ty. They came to a rest upside down in the oncoming traffic lane after spinning and flipping over. During the crash, at some point, our dog Ty got ejected from the vehicle, was wounded, and left the scene. Sunday afternoon, he was recovered and brought to the emergency vet clinic and received care.
Unfortunately, this recent hit and run has compounded these financial difficulties, resulting in unexpected costs for medical expenses, lawyers, vet bills, and a new family vehicle for Sam. These overlapping crises have created a significant financial burden as Sam, Ty, and the boys navigate treatment and recovery.
Any support offered would be deeply appreciated during this difficult time for our family. Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping us get back to normal life after this horrible experience.
