The Guardian Pilot

Healing Hands Entertainment is proud to announce its 24th project, a television pilot, a faith based, mental health advocacy, stigma busting fantasy, dystopian, action-adventure, the Guardian.
With Letters to Daniel completed and on the festival circuit we thought long and hard about what our follow up project would be. We wanted to both grow as filmmakers and execute with the quality the same way we did with Letters to Daniel.
We tossed around starting a new script as well as looking at our plethora of scripts. We wanted the project to be something we could be as passionate about as Letters to Daniel was.
The Guardian follows Nala Washington, a woman hunted and feared for having bipolar disorder. In a world turned topsy turvy by war and government corruption, she and others like her are hunted simply for being mentally ill and those caught aiding them are captured and sent to a concentration camp where the final outcome is death. Complicating matters is that when Nala becomes symptomatic she is controlled by supernatural forces.
The funds will be used to pay for the cast and crew, equipment, SD Cards (both video and audio) , food, locations, shelter for cast and crew, gas, and incidentals.
We would use the funds during pre-production (now) and during production (late winter-early spring 2021).
The support means the difference between making the pilot and not making a pilot of quality and not making the pilot at all. Making a pilot of quality means getting the show on air.
Everyone here at Healing Hands Entertainment have hearts overflowing with gratitude for our last project where we netted a talent manager and it has been met with success on festival circuit. (And we were rewarded with a distribution deal).
We hope to expand on that success and would be overjoyed and would be forever grateful.
