**Update 11/9**
We were officially told there are no more options. We will be transitioning to home hospice by the end of the week. Today, University Hospital will be hosting an early graduation ceremony for Mykee so Larry can attend. ❤️**
Hello. Well, the shit has hit the fan this go around.
Larry has been suffering from severe anemia the past few months, making blood transfusions a regular thing. Sept 2022, he went in like usual, Drs found the met on his left femur grew and caused a pathologic fracture. He has surgery to repair the fracture and it’s been a swift decline since. He was in a rehab hospital until 10/11/22, just to be readmitted 10/27/22. 11/2 He was rushed to the ICU and intubated because he couldn’t breathe. 11/4 he pulled the ventilator out. 11/5 we decided to insert an NG tube for nutrition and meds. 10 MINUTES later he pulled the tube out.
Outlook doesn’t look good. The cancer has spread and/or gotten bigger. Treatment options are almost nonexistent because he’s not healthy enough to start. I’ve been advised to start researching hospice options.
But we’re going to stay positive! We got shit to do.
Help us get our back on our feet. Mykee had her first car accident, Gunnar is unfortunately unable to physically attend traditional school and will transitioning to homeschooling also…public assistance is a fucking joke.
