The Fyfe Family Memorial Fund
The story of what recently happened to the Fyfe Family is a tragic one. One that we all hope would never happen to us in our own lives. A small family of 4 that became an even smaller family of 2 over the course of 6 weeks.
On 2/26, Aimee and Jimmy lost their father Panda very unexpectedly at the young age of 56. Panda was married to Aimee and Jimmy’s Mom, Carol for 36 years. This tragic shock and loss to their family overwhelmed them with grief and they all had to begin the road to healing as hard as the path may be.
As if the heartache and loss of Panda wasn’t hard enough, on 4/10 Jimmy also unexpectedly passed away. Jimmy was Aimee’s only sibling and younger brother, Carol’s only son and also the father of his son Hunter. How this can happen is hard to even explain and so unfair. The double grief and loss is an eternal battle with no end in sight.
James Michael Fyfe, 36, was a smart and intelligent man. He could literally talk for hours without coming up for a breath of air. He loved everyone around him. His favorite animal was a turtle because when he was a baby his head was so large he looked like a little turtle so his Uncle nicknamed him turtle. It stuck and he always collected them throughout his life. He loved video games inside and out. Not only did he enjoy playing them, but he also could build gaming systems from scratch. He used to play video games growing up with his Dad and sister and then enjoyed them with his son Hunter. Aimee and Jimmy would spend several hours a day playing Donkey Kong and held the nickname for each other, leedle leedle. Jimmy didn’t always get life 100% right. He struggled like the rest of us, but in his own way. It made him stronger and more resilient as he tried to navigate through life’s many obstacles. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. His memory was so rock solid. He could remember what he was doing 15 years earlier at a specific date and time. He never passed judgement and he always accepted you for you and stood up for what he knew was right. The loss of Jimmy is an ache that will never heal for his family and all of his friends who are also mourning this very unfair and indescribable loss.
Due to these tragic back to back losses, the expenses have added up for Carol and Aimee and they now have the added stress of money for proper burial services on top of the sheer grief of these double losses. We look to you all for any support you might want to offer the Fyfe Family to help take some of this added burden off their plate. Any additional money raised beyond the memorial expenses will go away into a savings account for Jimmy’s son Hunter.
Panda and James will be forever missed and always in our hearts.
