The Chainsaw Challenge
Donation protected
Hurricane Harvey took a completely devestating toll on the folks of Rockport and Port Aransas, TX. Fortunately, we here in San Antonio were spared, but it will take years for parts of the coast to recover from this warzone like devestation. Those of us who are able, have dedicated our time to assisting those unable to help themselves. The task of tree removal is the primary and most pressing need, so that people can access their homes and begin the process of rebuilding their lives. The volunteer will is strong, but we need your help to put essential tools in the hands of those who are willing to work. If you can't come join us, or send a chainsaw, please know that every cent you donate to this cause will go to purchasing chainsaws to use in our volunteer efforts. Thanks in advance for your generosity.
Who am I and where am i from?
- Timothy A. Witcher from San Antonio, Tx
My relationship and contact to the parties I am raising funds for :
Raising funds for my group of local volunteers traveling weekly to Texas Coast as part of clean-up efforts. Beneficiaries of Clean-up efforts are coordinated through www.crisiscleanup.org
How the funds will be spent: - My church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) has coordinated with a local supplier to have access to discounted chainsaws for our crews to use during weekly tree removal duty in Rockport and Port Aransas, TX.
My withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary/ies.
I am purchasing 5 chainsaws at $200 each. I am seeking permission from donors to spend the remaining balance on mold remediation supplies (masks) needed for mucking work being performed on the next two weekends.
