The Black Detour (Independent Black Media)

The Black Detour is an independent media outlet that advocates for Black people to not only be empowered but informed on issues in the Black community. We’re part of a growing movement in America to empower Black people all across the United States. At our core, we stand with Black people and want our voices, opinions, and thoughts heard.

The Black Detour online publication provides news, Black history, opinion pieces and more to increase awareness and knowledge in the Black community. 

We're seeking a goal of $1,000 to help with cost of hosting our online publication, paying for additional fees that come with having a website online. Additionally, the money will be used to help expand The Black Detour's efforts in marketing and growing our reach in the Black community. 

Anything you can donate from $1 to $20 will be much appreciated.
