On Monday, March 18th, Marina and her daughter Bella were in a serious collision when another driver swerved into her lane with no time or room to avoid impact. Bella's injuries were minor, but Marina sustained both internal vascular and cervical injuries the extent of which we will only know after further tests and scans.

The family is being supported with meals and other household needs by friends. Still, we are asking for additional help to cover the many immediate medical expenses and funds to help replace their family's most reliable vehicle. At the same time, the lengthy process of insurance claims and possible litigation ensues.

At this point, we do not know if the responsible driver was carrying insurance. It will likely be 1-2 weeks before this information becomes available. The Bise's policy will not replace the vehicle and has only $5000 in medical coverage, while the family is currently without regular health insurance.

As this is an evolving financial situation, we are attempting to help them bridge the gap of expense and loss until further information is known.
