DORIS J. THOMPSON PARK
Greetings Everybody. We Want Thank You for all Your Wonderful Support to.make "DAT" DAY 2024 a Great Success! We actually served over 300 plates of Food and gave away Lots of Gifts and Prizes For The Kids. Because of This Successful Turnout We are Expanding and Moving The Event to The Larger Courts Near The Pool Area with Lots of Parking Spaces. We will also have 2 Large Tents for Cover from the weather This means We will need more of Everything. (Food, Tables and Chairs etc.)
This Is A Free Family Event, Open To Public.
Free Food, Entertainment and Kid's Zone!!!
This Year is a Special Dedication To Honor The Renaming of Our Park To DORIS J. THOMPSON PARK. Doris was a Young Black Mother who worked for Tucson Parks and Recreation and was a Positive Mentor to Myself and Several Generations of Sugar Hill Children and Young Adults Long Before any Recreation Center was Ever Built! Her Resilience, Dedication, Loyalty and Love For Her Community Sets A Fine Example For Us All...
This Year We are Starting Early Fundraising For The Sugar Hill Neighborhood Family Reunion 2025 Event. We asked For Your Support and to Give Whatever You can. No Amount is to Small or to Large and Every Dollar Is Greatly Appreciated!
