Thanksgiving Blessing Bags for the Homeless

It’s time for our annual 2020 Blessing Bags for the Homeless! This year we want to get over 100 bags made to pass out all over San Diego to the homeless and anyone else in need. These bags are especially important this year with so many people out of work because of the COVID Pandemic. In this year’s Blessing Bags we want to fill them with 100% biodegradable products just in case some of these blessings end up in our fields or sewage systems.
Biodegradable toothbrushes (approx. $2 each)
Biodegradable wet wipes (approx. $2.50 each)
Biodegradable toothpaste (approx. $1.25 eah)
These bags will also have:
Warm cozy winter socks (approx. $2.75 each)
Emergency blankets (approx. $3.75 each)
Chapstick (approx. $1.50 each)
The final touch will be:
Bottle of filtered water (approx. $0.25 each)
Emergen-C powder packs to help boost their immune systems as the weather becomes wetter and colder (approx. $0.40 each)
Bag of quarters (amount depending on how much money we raise, but ideally $4 worth)
Each bag will cost us about $18.50 with a goal of putting 100 bags together we need to raise $1,840. A very easy target to hit!!
We need this goal hit by Friday November 20th in order to get these bags done for a Thanksgiving morning handout!
Please, if you are compelled, help us raise money to get as many bags out there as possible. There are thousands of homeless people in San Diego that need our help. Any donation amount is the perfect amount. Also, there are currently only 3 of us, so if you want to donate your time instead of your money, we would greatly appreciate that too. Let’s make Thanksgiving this year memorable for those that have no one to celebrate with.
