My goal is to make to Washington D.C for the Jefferson Awards. My after school group LEAD at Shakopee high school has won the highest community service award in the United States and the Jefferson awards is where my group collects it and competes for the nations award! While we are in D.C we get to meet with politicians and other schools from around the country.
I'm a recovering drug addict with a powerful message to carry to our politicians and other schools! Help me get to D.C to spread a message of hope and change. Thanks to LEAD (Leaders in Education and Diversity) I was given the opportunity to grow and become a better person after active addiction but they have taught me about diversity and the issues diverse people experience.
