We are reaching out to share the story of Max, a beloved friend to many, who is facing an incredibly difficult journey. Max was recently involved in a serious road accident in Bali, leaving him with multiple serious injuries.

Thank you to the doctors in Bali who saved Max’s life.

Max's mother, Astrid, a solo parent with no relatives, has been by his side every step of the way. However, this situation has placed immense pressure her. As the sole caregiver for Max, Astrid is now unable to work, leaving her without the financial means to support their daily needs. To make matters worse, the insurance company has stopped covering Max's medical expenses, even though his treatments and rehabilitation are far from over.

Right now, Max is facing medical bills and multiple therapies to help with his recovery.

Max is enrolled at the Green School in Bali, where he has been thriving. He is loved by his teen friends, teachers, and parents, and his gentle and kind spirit touches everyone he meets. His beautiful mum, Astrid, is equally adored for her devotion, humor, and determination.

Green School is a nurturing and safe place for Max and remaining in his home is an essential part of his brain injury recovery. They only live a few footsteps away from the school and The Green School community has become their extended family. However, the school fees are an additional financial burden, and without the means to pay, they may have no choice but to be home-schooled. This isolation would be a worst-case scenario for Max’s healing journey.

● Daily living expenses for Max and his mother, as Astrid cannot work while caring for him.

● Green School tuition fees, so Max can continue his education at the best school in the world.
