We all know that one person that lights up a room as soon as they walk in, makes everyone feel welcome, has a contagious smile and a genuine goodness that shines from the inside out. For myself, my family and basically everyone who knew my sister, she was that person.
Many of you may know my sisters story and may have been following our journey on facebook but some of you may not know. In October 2011 my sister was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer, she fought hard and she overcame her disease and went into remission for a GREAT 3 years! During these years my sister worked in a hospital and went to nursing school and raised her son (not to mention brought sunshine and joy to every person she came in contact with) She was enjoying her life and making a better future for her family. In October 2015 Sam had a recurrance, her cancer was back. With any recurrance the cancer came back with a vengence and Samantha until the very end gave absolutley everything she had and more. She fought with a grace and strength we have never seen before and she pushed her to limits no ordinary person would have been able to!! The cancer grew too fast and chemo was no longer an option, we tried alternative methods to no avail. With high spirits and a beautiful smile Samantha fought her cancer and tried everything possible to give herself a chance, she simply did not believe in doing nothing!! Samantha has left us in body but not in spirit. She flys high with the angels now and has left us with the duty to care for her son and raise the man she would want him to be and to live our life through gods light and holding our spirit as her own and helping her live on through us. We started this fund so that we can celebrate the life my sister lived and all the lives she touched just by being SAM! Samantha deserves the absolute best send off we can give her. Her wishes to be creamated and seperated into urns for her family is being honored and we will have a memorial service and celebration of life. Thank to you to everyone in advance that is going to make it possible for this to happen! We love you, Sam loved you & we could not be more grateful for all the love and support we are getting back.
