Helping the Mora's Battle Cancer

And this  is the Mora family!!!! :)

Jose is a 35 year old Import Specialists with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He's married to Melanie, an Oncology RN, and they have a son, Kai, that is 9 years old.

Jose was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma 8 years ago, that has metastasized to his lungs. Since then, he has endured 5 surgeries resulting the partial removal of his left lung lobe and has had multiple chemotherapy and radiation treatments. In August 2012, he went to MD Anderson for his routine follow-up visits and a nodule 4cm in size was found to his right lung. Clinical treatment trials were attempted but deemed unsuccessful. At this time, surgery was an option but when they arrived to MD Anderson, the nodule had grown to inoperable 11cm. The only intervention at this time is clinical trials to decrease the size of the nodule. This is the last option, nothing else can be done.

Each clinical trial is approximately $8000-$10000 and will require Jose to travel every two weeks for labs, diagnostic testings and treatments. They have been denied by their insurance and are in the process of appealing it. They are in the process of selling their home and if necessary their vehicles to pay for treatment.

Our goal is to try to help with at least ONE treatment but anything will help.
