The sweet little girl in the photo is facing a tough battle. There are many of us sending positive thoughts and prayers in her direction while she begins a tough journey. No child should ever have to go through a fight with leukemia, and no parent should ever have to watch their child suffer. But life often throws us a challenge we never could have expected. In trying times like that, we come together. We make casseroles and send thoughtful notes. We run errands and offer to help in any way we can. And sometimes, there's not much we can actually DO, except make sure that the child's parents don't have to spend their energy on anything but their baby.

And that's what this is about. Just a few dollars can really help out. It might go to pay a bill so dad doesn't have to remember to write a check. It may go to a meal so mom can spend an extra hour at the hospital. It may go to a night out so mom and dad can recharge their soon-to-be exhausted batteries.
