Get FRC Team 1405 to St. Louis!

We are FIRST Robotics Team 1405, based out of the Charles Finney School in Rochester, NY. Our team has around 20 members (about half of whom are local homeschoolers) and 10 mentor coaches. We are a small team with an even smaller budget, but in all the years we've been competing in FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) we've consistently performed well against teams with much higher funding and many more members. At this year's FIRST Finger Lakes Regional at Rochester Institute of Technology, we were on the winning alliance which means our team gets to compete in the FIRST Championship (formerly known as the World Competition) in St. Louis, Missouri on April 27-30. As you can imagine, this is very exciting for us!

(We also received the Creativity Award for using unusually creative methods and materials in building our robot, which is quite an honor.)

What all this means is that we have less than four weeks to raise all of our funding for the trip, which we estimate to be $30,000 and includes registration, transportation from New York to Missouri, lodging, and meals for all of our team members and coaches.

Anyone who donates $25 or more will also have their name or business in our team's yearbook, which will be displayed in our team pit area in St. Louis as well as in various locations around Rochester.
