Team Evans is going International

We are the Team Evans Junior Curling team based in Fredericton & Oromocto New Brunswick. Our team members are 12-year old Rebecca Watson (Lead position), 14-year old Jenna Campbell (Vice-Skip) and 13-year old twin sisters Julia Evans (Second position) and Celia Evans (Skip).  The team is coached by Lorna Campbell and 2014 World Senior Men's Curling Champion, Wayne Tallon. We have been playing together for two years and this year, we are participating in several provincial events and in the 2019 Canada Winter Games selection calendar, mostly at our own expense.  

Recently, the team has been invited to Dumfries, Scotland from March 29th to April 1st to participate in the Dumfries International Junior Curling Tournament (dycurlers.co.uk). Our team is likely to be the only Canadian team, and possibly the only North American team represented! Most other teams are from Great Britain and Continental Europe. 

As you can imagine, this opportunity does not come cheap and we don't have much time! We are asking for your financial support to help make this happen for the girls. The chance to play in an International Junior tournament, to meet fellow curlers from other countries and build friendships and memories to last a lifetime, is too valuable to pass up.  You would be hard-pressed to find a friendlier, more mature or respectable group of girls to represent the sport of curling and Canada at this event.
