Team Dylan #quitcancer

For the last 6 months Dylan has had pretty bad back pain and we had numerous CT scans and MRI's that revealed a slipped disc in his lowest vertebrae. He got a cortisone shot in May that we hoped would be the end of it but his pain had just moved to his upper back and he started to have really bad stomach pain. By July his pain in his stomach was too much to handle and our dr ordered a CT scan on his kidneys as he thought he might have impacted kidney stones. Instead they found a mass about the size of grown mans fist. We were sent to the Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City for more CT scans and MRI's and to have a biopsy done. Last Monday Dylan was officially diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma (a form of bone cancer). We will be headed down to Salt Lake tomorrow and Dylan will have his first treatment of Chemo on Tuesday. We will be having all of his treatments done in Utah and they will be done every 14 days in two day and five day increments for the next year. We are very hopeful and know Dylan is strong enough to get through this!
