Teaching in Ghana

As soon as the opportunity for this trip came up, something in me stirred. It  just felt right. I work with students from different cultures every day, but rarely do I get a chance to be immersed entirely in someone else's culture. Here's my chance to gain an understanding of what that feels like.  

Compassionate Journeys is an NGO working to stop the cycle of child labor and trafficking through empowering small communities in Ghana. A fellow teacher and I will bring much needed school supplies and books to a rural village school, and teach there for two weeks with this organization.  
This campaign will  raise money for those supplies, and help to lighten travel costs.
