Abigail Toohey has a strong family history of breast cancer as well as the BRCA gene. Medical professionals  have strongly recommended that she have a double mastectomy as there is a high likelihood she will get breast cancer. The surgery is scheduled for January 2018. Her friends and family are trying to raise some money for her by January 7th, 2018. She is going to need a lot of help, as she will incur steep medical expenses and have a 6 week recovery (at best), plus have to take time off work. She will be very dependent on others to help her get dressed, get around, as well as many other things. If you know Abby at all, this is extremely difficult as she would rather help others than receive it herself. Please help us surprise her by raising money. Any funds we receive will go toward medical expenses, medical treatment, as well as other things she may need during recovery. Also, shhhhh!!!
