Don protégé
In September 2014 our life changed. Tao was diagnosed with Brain Cancer.
He was in hospital for 3 and a half months after a 9 hour surgery to attempt to remove the tumour in his brain stem.
Tao has had difficulty recovering from surgery and continues to overcome many hurdles.
January 2015, the MRI showed the remaining tumour had already started to regrow and he commenced Chemotherapy.
We have been told by our Neurosurgeon that when Chemotherapy ends in January 2015, the tumour will regrow and Tao will need to have the surgery to attempt to remove more of the tumour or he will lose the use of his limbs.
It has been extremely hard on our family financially due to only working part of my full time job, continuing to struggle to pay the household bills and many medical costs.
We were in the process of building a house when dealing with this. Even choosing tiles etc.. from the hospital.
My husband works within the mining industry and he never knows whether he will continue to have a job each month.
I have never asked for anything and struggle through each month. But, what I would really love is to have our backyard completed with lawn and some pavers and playground equiptment so Tao can go outside and play.
Currently it is dirt.
