My name is Lilly Brennan, and I am a student athlete at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. The goal of Tanner Tandems is to raise money, purchase a push chair, and pair a runner from the PVMHS cross country or track team with a physically or cognitively challenged young person in order to participate in local road races.
Tanner Tandems will provide a great experience for both the pusher and his or her partner. It is a great way to share the amazing feeling of accomplishment after finishing a race with someone who might not get to have that experience otherwise.
This is also an awesome opportunity for PVMHS students to gather more community service hours.
Tanner Tandems hopes to order an "Axiom Endeavor 2" chair through Adaptive Star (Adaptivestar.com )by the end of July and to run  the first race with a partner by the end of August 2017.
