Tanner & Kaitlyn’s IVF Journey

Hi everyone,

My name is Teagan and I am writing on behalf of two of my closest friends, Tanner and Kaitlyn, who have been dealing with years of infertility, heartbreaking loss, and unexpected medical challenges.

They’ve carried this privately for a long time and are going to the ends of the earth to try to make this happen without asking for anything from anyone but with the appointments beginning, they need our help more than ever.

In April 2021, they were over the moon to find out they were pregnant, only to lose the pregnancy within 24 hours.

After relentless self advocation on Kaitlyn’s behalf to figure out why another pregnancy wasn’t happening after years of trying, they began their unexpected journey of infertility.

In April 2024 they began infertility appointments to try to figure out what may be contributing.
A low male fertility rate was discovered for Tanner and an HSG for Kaitlyn revealed that one fallopian tube was completely blocked, and both had hydrosalpinx (a toxic fluid that would prevent any embryo from implanting).

Initially, doctors thought they might have a chance with IUI after removing one tube. But after further consultations with specialists, they were told that IVF is their only safe and possible path forward but only after both fallopian tubes are fully removed.

The decision as to what to do from there wasn’t easy for them. They prayed, a lot. But they decided to move forward with the surgery because it was the only one that offered hope.
So in March 2025, Kaitlyn underwent surgery to remove both tubes, as well as a polypectomy and exploratory surgery for endometriosis.

Now, IVF is their only chance to bring a child into this world.

They’ve gone all in. They’re even selling their home to help pay for treatment, Tanner is working two jobs leaving him working 7 days a week 10-12+ hour days, and Kaitlyn works full time and is also trying to find another job for nights and weekends.
But as you may know, IVF is incredibly expensive and even with all they’re sacrificing, it’s not enough.

They have their consultation with the IVF specialist coming soon and for the two people that would be there for anybody at a moments notice, they just really need their village more than ever right now.

It would mean the world for a donation or simply just sharing their story.
Every kind of contribution brings them one step closer to holding their dream baby in their arms.

Thank you for being part of their story, and for helping them believe that their dream is still possible.
