Tanner Hudson

Approximately three weeks ago a young member of our community suffered a devasting blow. Tanner Hudson is 19, a Gila Ridge graduate and a welding student at Arizona Western College. Tanner also worked at the college over the summer. After suffering from a backache and seeing a chiropractor, Tanner started having difficulty breathing. His mother convinced him to go to the emergency room and that is when they heard those words that no mother should ever have to hear. “Your son has cancer!”

Tanner has been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer that has traveled to his lung. He is receiving treatment at UC San Diego Moore’s Cancer Center. They have started immunotherapy. Immediately after his first treatment, he was hospitalized with an abscess in his lung. Tanner is determined to kick cancer’s butt and the costs are already adding up and there are little resources available now due to Covid.

This family will need help with medical expenses and the cost to travel back and forth to San Diego. We are Yuma Strong and we come together for those who need us. Please help Tanner kick cancer’s butt. Together we can do this. #TanManStrong
