"Take Care of Alex Fund"

As some of you know, my father Michael Colby passed away on February 1st, 2017. He was diagnosed in December of 2016 with terminal cancer and given 2 weeks to live. He made it 8 weeks due to his fighting spirit and his will to live. He requested Alexander assist with his care since he is an EMT and my Dad trusted him. Alex left Argentina immediately, leaving behind his supportive wife Amalia and his job teaching to stay by my Dad's side. He slept in hospice in a cot next to my Dad so that my Dad would not be alone. The rest of us children rotated flying in or driving in to visit my dad and give Alex some brief reprieve. The whole family has rallied to support my dad and Alex financially throughout this whole unexpected process. Now Alex and Amalia have relocated to the United States from Argentina and plan to make it their new home. This has also been an added expense for them and a three-year immigration ordeal with many associated costs. One of my dad's last wishes was for us all to "take care of Alex". He knew Alex did not have many resources in Argentina and would need assistance transitioning to the US. Alex and Amalia are degreed teachers looking for work in Austin, TX. They should be on their feet soon, but could sure use a little extra help, beyond what all of the family has already done. Thank you all for your love and support.
