Support for the Wade Family
Donation protected
Several weeks ago, our loved ones, Jenna Wade (Burgsteden) and her husband Tyler Wade from Thunder Bay, Ontario, received a life-altering diagnosis during Jenna’s pregnancy with their third child. After weeks of visits to and from the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital, Jenna was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.
Leaving their two children behind in Thunder Bay under the care of family and friends, Jenna was airlifted to Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, to receive specialized care and treatment.
At 28 weeks gestation, Sawyer Joey Bruce Wade was born on April 17 (Easter Sunday) at 12:44 am, weighing 2 lbs 8 oz. While they continue their fight to get back to total health, Jenna and Sawyer continue to draw strength from the immense support they are receiving from the doctors and nurses at Mount Sinai Hospital and the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children.
Despite this little miracle, the Wade family has a long road ahead of them as they continue to monitor Jenna’s cancer diagnosis and treatment and what is expected to be Sawyer’s long NICU journey.
Jenna and Tyler are overwhelmed with the love and care that is pouring in from all of their friends and family. It gives them the strength, courage and the resolve they need during this challenging time.
Please join us on “Team Wade” by supporting the family financially. Your support will help cover flights to/from Thunder Bay, accommodations, meals, childcare for their children Adri and Cohen, as well as other medical expenses as Jenna and Sawyer continue their fight along the path to full recovery. No monetary amount is too small, and every donation will truly make a difference for Jenna and Sawyer.
Jenna and Tyler are grateful for all the love and support, and they look forward to the day they can announce that Sawyer is a NICU graduate and that Jenna is cancer-free.
