Overwhelming Medical and Household Expenses

Most of you know Robbie and my story. For those of you who don’t hear it is.

When i had Robbie she had both a major and a minor stroke causing her to have brain damage on the right side of her brain, blind in her right eye and only having tunnel vision in her left, epilepsy, ADHD, and Cerebral Palsy leaving her paralyzed on the left side of her body.

When she was born the doctors said that she wouldn’t live past the age of 2 and she will be 27 in September. The first 3 years of her life we were in and out of the hospital and because of that i always focused on making sure my daughter was insured and not worrying about whether I was insured because i’ve always been healthy.

Recently, there have been a turn of events. Instead of Robbie in the hospital; I was hospitalized. Robbie and a couple of her friends had a stomach virus and they got better within a day, a day and a half. I thought i had what the kids had but it was just affecting me differently. I had pain in my abdominal area and didn’t think anything of it. I didn’t go to the hospital until I had a fever that wouldn’t go away. Robbie forced me to call my little sister to take me to the hospital.

Once we got to the hospital we found out the my appendix perforated and there was fluid “poop”inside abdominal area that needed to be drained. When they did the CT scan they couldn’t see my organs due to all the fluid “poop” surrounding my abdominal area and my white blood cell count was at a 30 instead of the normal 4-11. So they put in a drain that i have to wear to drain the fluid “poop”.

After 10 days of being in the hospital i’m finally home.

I have a follow up appointment on June 8th and because I don’t have insurance they’re asking me to pay $3200 upfront for the CT they’re gonna have to do when I go to the appointment.

Any donation will be greatly appreciated . The bill is already over 35,000 since i was in the hospital for 9 days. i have several procedures and a surgery to remove my appendix in the future
