My name is Jeannie, better known as GiGi to those who I love most. One of those individuals is my son-in-law, Ian Bird. He’s a fantastic father of two to Oliver, 6 years old, & Abigail, 4 years old, & another on the way in May. He’s a Ft Worth firefighter, Navy veteran, & all-around good guy who is always willing to lend a helping hand. And now, he & his family sure could use your compassionate support/assistance. Just over 3 weeks ago, Ian broke his right hip during a hockey game with his Warriors local veterans team. He had to undergo an initial extensive surgery to repair the trauma & unfortunately had another surgery this past weekend to clean out his wound & place a wound vacuum. Ian’s rehab back to full mobility & return to firefighting will be a slow, long & challenging recovery.

And if that wasn’t enough… last night, little miss Abigail fell & gashed her head open, requiring an ambulance ride to the ER & 6 stitches! They say bad things tend to happen in threes, so hopefully things will smooth out from here.

We are so appreciative that one of their good friends has already started a meal train to help with food. It isn’t easy to ask for help, but we are requesting donations to ease the burden from the loss of income & to aid with the extensive medical/rehab expenses as they deal with this and as they prepare for their new baby due in May.
