John Mackey family support fund

John Mackey was one of the most unique people that you could ever meet. A father, paramedic, friend, avid sci-fi fan, and proud wearer of kilts; Mackey, as he is called at the EMS stations, had a wealth of personality that showed in everything he did. Tragically, Mackey was struck by a car on November 5 while responding to a 911 call. Sadly, Mackey passed away after several days in the hospital. Mackey's EMS family has set up this go fund me page to provide financial support for Mackey's family in this time of need. In the state of Kentucky the families of EMS providers do not receive line of duty benefits to which  law enforcement officers and fire fighters are entitled. All donations will go directly to Mackey's family. Please help to give back to a man who has given so much to this community, not just through his service as a paramedic, but also as a father, husband, and friend.
