Hi,

My name is Maz and I’m a 24 year old non-binary person living in the UK as a trained nurse and personal carer.

As some of you may know after years of being uncomfortable in my body I am finally doing something about it and am hoping to head overseas to undergo topsurgery as trying to seek government support can take up to 15 years on a waiting list.

This procedure is crucial for both my mental and physical health, as well as my self confidence. As someone that practically lives in the pool and ocean I can’t wait to finally feel comfortable in my own skin and get back in the water again, doing the things I love.

These funds, big or small, will contribute towards the procedure itself, as well as flights, accommodation and financial support post surgery as I will be required to take up to 4 weeks off of work.

I’ll be using any excess money from this fundraiser to go towards anyone else’s gender affirming care fundraisers.
