Hello everyone! We (Whitley & Jordan) are two Youtubers from San Diego who create comedic and uplifting content for our subscribers (called chicken nuggets). We operate under the name WhitJojoTV.
When not making Youtube videos, we are hard at work studying International Business, Astrophysics, and Chemistry. Education has been and always will be the key to contributive citizens and, in a grander scheme, a more unified world. All individuals, regardless of disability, sex, race, economic standing, or other circumstance, should be allowed the right to a quality education. This is especially true in the case of children. We adamantly stand by this belief.
This is where Elijah Burns comes in. Elijah is a high school sophomore and incredible student who is already receiving offers from illustrious colleges around the United States. Among these offers he was requested to attend the 2016 Stanford Law Intensive Law & Trial summer program. Elijah couldn't be more excited about this opportunity! We have NEVER seen a child his age so passionate about becoming a business lawyer! It is also worth noting that he has asked no one for funds for this opportunity. This is simply an opportunity we would love for him to take part in.
The program itself costs $3,500 to attend, of which a deposit of $499 must be raised by March 15 for him to confirm attendance. Through donations of church members and our personal funds, we have covered the cost of the deposit, but it has come to our attention that Elijah is doing his homework for 4 AP classes on his phone. We would additionally like to cover some of the cost of a new computer for optimized studying and work completion. This is why the campaign is set for $3,500. We will leave this campaign open for 45 days, which will give us ample time to make the first payment that is due May 1st. None of the money raised will go in our pockets, and any extra monies earned will go towards his school supplies and/or college fund.
If a fraction of our followers donated $1-$3, we would reach this goal in no time! That is the cost of a drink at a coffee shop! This would be a amazing program for Elijah to have the privilege of attending, and we earnestly advocate for your assistance in making this possible. All of us, at some point, have felt the desire to contribute to society and make the world a better place, but we don't know where to begin. This is that opportunity.
