On Friday, May 14, 2021, Dennis suffered an injury to his neck. Although Dennis and his family is still learning how this will impact their lives, it is very likely that he will never regain full use of his legs or hands.
As an American Sign Language (ASL) teacher, Dennis is dependent on his hands for his livelihood. The list of needs is long, but funds received will be used to pay for things like caregivers, medical bills, modify a home to accommodate a wheelchair, and the many other things that will help improve his quality of life.
Background:
Dennis is a much beloved teacher in our community. He loves his students and he has had a positive impact on many in our hometown over the past 30-plus years as a teacher.
He is a kind, loyal friend who loves to laugh, sing, and music and the arts. He is also a caring and very much loved father and grandfather.
For more than 30 years, Dennis taught music, piano and voice. He was a ASL teacher during the last 4 years.
This page is managed by his three daughters -- Jessica, Liz and Beka.
