Sweet Gingers Surgery & Vet Bills

Ginger is a 3 year old rescue dog that hasn't always had the easiest life. She was neglected and possibly abused when she was just a puppy and has the scars to show for it. Thankfully she was rescued by the East Coast Canine Association and very soon after she was adopted by my brother, Brad Warren. He fell in love with her because she is the sweetest most gentle dog there is despite what she has been through. Brad adopted her and she fit right in with him and her dog brother, Gus. Over the last couple of years she has been the picture of health and lives a very happy, loved, fulfilled life with Brad and Gus. In July 2020 Ginger started having GI issues, vomiting and diarrhea. Brad has been to countless vet appointments, tried countless medications, different foods and there have been no answers or resolutions. She will have periods of time where she is doing better but eventually falls sick again. On 11/18/2020 Ginger started having a lot of vomiting again and she had no appetite, which is very abnormal for her, so Brad took her back to the vet. X-ray was normal, bloodwork was normal. So they scheduled an ultrasound to be performed 11/20/2020. They unfortunately found a 4inch section of her bowel that was abnormal and she is being rushed in for emergency surgery as I write this. Brad is completely heart broken and beside himself. She is only 3 years old and he is scared for Ginger. She is the light of his life. If you know Ginger, you know there is not another dog out there that has been through what she has been through but yet is the sweetest most loving dog that just wants love and cuddles. As you can imagine, this is taking a massive toll on Brad emotionally and financially. Any sort of help is very appreciated saving sweet Ginger and helping Brad. The surgery alone is estimated to cost $5,000-$6,000 and there have been countless other vet bills, tests, medication costs and time lost from work for Brad.  He would go the ends of the earth for his dogs, so thank you for helping!
