Surviving Gaza: Urgent Help for Elhindi Family..
Don protégé
Hello, My name is Abdelkhalek Saleh, from Dallas, TX. I have set up this campaign on behalf of the family of my Palestinian friend Mohamed. Mohamed and his family are currently displaced and they are suffering from dire conditions such as sickness, lack of medicine, scarce food, and above all homelessness. Mohamed's father suffers from serious medical condition and needs urgent help to save his life. There is no access to adequate medical help amid the chaos. His sister lost her husband when their house was bombed and her three children were orphaned. Their house was bombed and destroyed and they lost everything they saved and worked for and currently sheltering in the Rafah Camp located in the Southern part of the Gaza Strip. Please assist me in getting Mohamed's family to safety in Egypt by donating anything you can and kindly share this campaign with your friends, and family as well as on your social platforms. I will post some photos of their destroyed home as well as his father's medical exam which he took a few years ago
Here are the names of Mohamed's family members:

This is a message from Mohamed
As the bombs fell and buildings crumbled around us, we found ourselves trapped beneath the rubble of our own home. Miraculously, we emerged, battered but alive, clinging to each other amidst the chaos. Yet, the physical destruction was only the beginning.
Amidst the chaos, our dreams crumbled like the buildings around us. I had toiled tirelessly abroad as a civil engineer, saw my years of hard work reduced to ashes. my savings, my stability, all gone in an instant, leaving me adrift in a sea of uncertainty.
My father, a dedicated rheumatologist, faced his own battle for survival. His urgent need for medical care following a risky surgery added to our burden, as resources dwindled and access to proper care became a luxury.
Even my brother, who is a healthcare professional, lost his burgeoning healthcare startup, a beacon of hope for better medical access, was lost in the rubble. The stability of his job vanished in the smoke-filled air, leaving uncertainty in its wake.
Tragedy struck even closer to home as my sister, already grappling with the horrors of war, lost her husband to a merciless airstrike. Left to raise her children alone, she became a symbol of strength in the face of unimaginable loss.
We lost everything. We look at our children with despair. We struggle with the cold, infection, and hunger. My daughters are scared and we live under a constant fear and threat that at any second we could all parish with one bomb like others did.
Your help and donations will help my family start a new life away from death and hunger. We appreciate your support in our darkest moments
How your donations will be spent?
- $42,500 approximately to cover the cost of Rafah Crossing transfer at $5k per adult and $2.5k per child. This is what we have to pay the Egyptian government to facilitate the transit and issue permits.
- $7,000: To be spent on setting up our new life for the first two months for 10 family members. This will be used for rent, medicine, clothing, and essential living expenses. We are hoping in two months we could be able to find work.
- $1,500-$2000 estimated to cover GoFundMe Fees
End of Mohamed's message
Rest assured, every penny will be spent on this cause. All money collected will be wired to an Egyptian bank account where they will be withdrawn and handed directly to Mohamed's relatives in Egypt.
Again, thank you so much, and I will keep you updated as they continue their journey.
